Swedish Massage
The most well-known form of massage therapy. It gently relaxes the entire body combining various hands-on techniques including gliding, kneading, and cross-fiber friction to break up muscle knots, called adhesions. It can be slow and gentle, or vigorous and bracing, loosening tight muscles and reducing stiffness, removing energy blockages within the body and increasing blood and lymph circulation.

Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage uses firm pressure and slow strokes to reach deeper layers of muscle and fascia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles). It’s used for chronic aches and pain and contracted areas such as a stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders.

Thai Massage
An ancient energy-based healing system that combine acupressure, Indian Ayurvedic principles, and assisted yoga postures, this process opens joints, stretches, and tendons, toned internal organ, and balance body energy.
Back Walking may be incorporated if desired. Select your desired level of pressure- from light to deep.

Lomi Lomi Massage
This traditional Hawaiian massage is a great choice for an exotic massage experience, or for a full body workover. Lomi Lomi is done on the entire body at once including the underside of the body using long flowing strokes from head to toe. The massage is usually a medium firm pressure but it can be deeper or lighter depending on your preference.

Hot Stone Massage
Our signature Hot Stone Massage will take you to another world. Feel your stress melt into tranquility as you float away into the clouds. Heated basalt river stones are skillfully placed and used with long flowing massage strokes, gliding over your body, melting away tension filled muscles, leaving you relaxed and rejuvenated. A wonderful massage for all who wish to experience tranquility.

Massage Cupping
Massage cupping works by lifting and separating the restricted tissue to loosen the tight muscle fibers. When the muscles become restricted the fibers stick together, called adhesions. With the cups we can separate the fibers and stretch the fascial banding around the the fibers so they can move more freely and independently. At the same time, bringing fresh oxygen and nutrient rich blood flow to further encourage healing.

Hello everyone! My name is Joy and I am the manager of Essential Massage. We are located in Gilbert, Arizona at Val Vista Rd. and Guadalupe Rd.
I have over 800 hours of training for massage therapy. My passion is to help others heal their bodies holistically. Our bodies want to heal themselves but sometimes we need a little help from a friend. Some of my massage training includes Deep Tissue Massage, Swedish Massage, Thai Massage, Lomi Lomi Massage, Tui Na, Zen Shiatsu Lymphatic Drainage, Injury massage, Sports Massage, Neuro Muscular Therapy, Connective Tissue Massage, Trigger Point and Craniosacral Therapy.
Massage therapy has so many benefits and is a whole entire healing experience! It reduces anxiety and headaches and increases the blood and lymph circulation.
Massage therapy also takes strain off connective tissue, tendons, and ligaments. Studies have shown improvements with massage therapy in people who suffer with insomnia, and improvement with people who have multiple sclerosis. It reduces stress, pain, and tension.
